OUR MISSION is to improve the community through volunteerism.
Chartered on October 25,1966, The Heritage League of Lincoln was organized and affiliated with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and Nebraska Federation of Women’s Clubs. The Heritage League is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code with the primary focus on Lincoln and vicinity. Donations may be tax deductible.
WHAT WE DO
Approximately 60 members, diverse in ages, interests and experiences, work together on community improvement through volunteer service and enjoy fellowship through interest groups and educational meetings.
The Heritage League meets on Tuesdays for general meetings with featured educational programs.
Special interest groups include, Books, Etc., 5th Tuesday Games, Home and Away Tours and Summer Lunches.
Our service projects support the community.
Fundraising activities raise money for charities and opportunities for youth.
Award Winning. The Heritage League has received many certificates of recognition and awards at GFWC/NFWC conventions. It has also received a Lincoln Mayor’s Arts Award - Lincoln Community Foundation Arts Award for Kids.
Opportunity for Leadership Roles. Club members may serve in leadership positions at the Local, District, State and Regional levels.
